Dennis R. Young, 70, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Conestoga View. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Richard E. Young Sr. and the late Evelyn Young. Dennis had worked as a cook for the McDonalds on Columbia Ave. in Lancaster for several years. Prior to this, he had worked for the city of Lancaster. He loved to swim, enjoyed fishing, bowling, watching movies and video games. Dennis survived by his sons: Darren J. and Damon Young; his granddaughters Alyssa and Samantha; and by his siblings Richard Young, Jr., Daniel Young, Darlene Ruhl, Teresa Rietschey, and Dolores. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold W. Young. Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home& Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA from 3-3:30PM, with the Memorial Service to follow at 3:30PM.
