Dennis A. Weller, 63, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Harrisburg, he was the loving husband of Sherry (Hess) Weller of Lancaster, and the son of Mary (Traver) Weller of New Cumberland and the late Lester Weller. Dennis was a devoted father to twin daughters: Emily (Weller) Gehron and her husband Dustin of Lancaster and Gretchen (Weller) Stevenson and her husband Andrew of Akron; he loved being called pop-pop by his three grandsons: Chase and Tanner Stevenson and Bronson Gehron; and is also survived by 2 brothers, Kenneth of Frederick, MD and Brian of New Cumberland.
Dennis was the President of Burle Business Park for 25 years, and involved in many volunteer and philanthropic endeavors. He was a Mason and Past Master of Manheim Lodge #587 several times, as well as a member of Lancaster Lodge of Perfection and Harrisburg Consistory. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Lancaster.
Dennis loved the outdoors and completed his Wild Turkey World Slam with a bow in St. Cloud, FL this past spring.
His last wish was granted: To give to others through his death. He donated through Gift of Life.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 10, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601 with Rev. Craig A. Ross and Pastor Sarah Teichmann officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
