Obituary

Dennis S. Eberly, 65, of Manheim, PA, went home to be with Jesus on December 10, 2012 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.

He was the husband of Pennie G. Zohn Eberly, with whom he would have celebrated 39 years of marriage this coming January 19th.  Dennis was the love of Pennie's life, and they loved to travel together, with their favorite destinations being Hawaii and Aruba.   Born in West Reading, PA, he was the son of Margaret Manko Eberly of Ephrata and the late Leroy Eberly.

Dennis had been the General Manager/Point of Sale Administrator of Living Waters Theater and Sight & Sound Ministries for 20 years. Previously he worked for WLAN Radio for 13 years as Chief Engineer and WIOV Radio as Chief Engineer/Operations Manager for 11 years. Dennis was a 1966 graduate of the Radio Electronic Television Schools in Upper Darby, PA and in 1967 he graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Electronics.

He was a United States Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.

He was very proud of being a licensed pilot, taking lessons and being certified in a Cessna 150 at the Lancaster Airport. He was very passionate about Penn State football. He enjoyed all things electronic. Dennis always wanted to learn and problem solve.

In addition to his wife Pennie, he is survived by his mother, Margaret Manko Eberly of Ephrata, his daughter, Nicole C. married to Bryan S. Sensenig of Ephrata and his brother Randy married to Noreen Eberly of Bowie, MD.

Dennis will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A celebration of Dennis' life will be held at a later time in the spring with an announcement at a future date.
