Denise G. Walters, 71, of Landisville, passed away, Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Lancaster General Hospital, following a long and valiant battle against pancreatic cancer. Born in Lancaster, Denise was the daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine (Lefever) Glick. Denise was a 1965 graduate of Manheim Twp. High School. She was a stay-at-home mom from 1982 until 1993 while she raised her most important treasure, her daughter, Lindsey. In 1993, in order to help make ends meet, she went to work driving school bus in the Lancaster area, a position she held for 25 years until her sickness robbed her of the ability to continue driving. Denise enjoyed antiquing, a passion she learned from her parents and was able to pass along to her family. Although not a church-goer, she was Protestant and held to her faith. Denise is survived by her only daughter, Lindsey J. Walters, companion of Steve Grauel, her beautiful granddaughter, Arianna, and her former husband and friend, Bruce K. Walters. Services for Denise will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in Denise's name be made to the Ann Barshinger Cancer Center where the staff displayed dedication and compassion while helping Denise in her battle with cancer.
