Dendy G. Horne, 73, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Born in Shenandoah, PA, he was the son of the late Lois A. (Say) Horne Allen and Harold O. Horne.

Dendy spent his career as a dedicated truck driver before retiring. In his free time, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—watching horse racing, cheering on his favorite teams, the New York Mets and the Reading Phillies, and most importantly, spending time with his family. He especially cherished family picnics and was best known to his grandchildren as their beloved Pop-Pop, always ready with a warm smile and a pancake breakfast after sleepovers.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Kimberly Greenawalt (Tim) of Terre Hill; his cherished granddaughters: Victoria Sechrist of Ephrata, Jazmin Houser (Kyle) of Akron, Jordan Greenawalt of Terre Hill, Ashtyn Greenawalt of New Holland, Lauren Rissler (Jeremy) of New Holland, and Britton Greenawalt of Ephrata. He also leaves behind seven adored great-grandchildren: Riley, Ainsley, Cole, Taylor, Grayson, Hudson, and Josephine.

Dendy is also survived by his siblings: Linda Cahall of Atlanta, GA, Sharon Hoover of Lancaster, Cindy Kuntz of Lancaster, and Janet Sander of Lancaster; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Yoh.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 5-7 PM at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, followed by a Memorial Service at 7PM.
