IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra “Debby”
Bergman
November 2, 2025
Debra "Debby" Bergman, 71, of Lititz, PA, passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 2, 2025. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jere Buckwalter and Marion Millar.
After graduating from high school, Debby began working at the Acme Lancaster Distribution Center at the age of 17, where she dedicated an incredible 50+ years of service. She truly loved her job and formed many lasting friendships throughout her career.
Debby loved traveling, visiting Italy, Spain, Costa Rica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, and more on annual trips with friends and family. She also loved the shore, particularly Rehoboth Beach, DE, where she and her family spent many memorable vacations throughout the years. A fan of live music, Debby especially enjoyed listening to local Lancaster band The Sharks and anything 80's. She also loved going out to eat and spending time with her brother, Buck, and sister-in-law, Pam, as well as shopping trips with her former mother-in-law, Jane.
Her greatest joy was spending time with the children in her family and cheering on her grand-nieces and nephews at their sports games, dance recitals, and other activities—she loved to spoil them all. She never missed a video call from her grandson Arlo, who she laughed and sang with over the phone every evening.
Debby is survived by her children, Shea Zebert (Chris) and Brad Bergman, and her beloved grandson, Arlo. She is also survived by her brother, Jere "Buck" Buckwalter (Pamela); nieces and nephews, Chad Buckwalter (Chelsea), Jennifer Eichelberger (Jared), and Ashley Martin (Justin); and her cherished grand-nieces and nephews, Nadia, Heavenly, Liam, Stella, Alexis, and Dillon. Additional surviving family include her aunt and uncle, Jane Oleksak and Jack Buckwalter, her former husband, Robert Bergman, and his mother, Jane.
A funeral service will be held at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, on Friday, November 7, at 7:00 PM, with a viewing for friends and family prior from 5:00–7:00 PM. Interment will take place the following day at Longenecker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation ( www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org ) is appreciated.
