Dawn Walton, 63, of Quarryville passed away at her home on Friday June 30, 2018. Born in Wilmington, DE she was the daughter of the late Merle Zug and Francis (Surac) Zug. Dawn worked as an associate at WalMart for over 13 years. After her retirement, Dawn, a long-time member of Colerain Baptist Church, took over the church kitchen. She was a talented cook, seamstress, and florist. Dawn was loved by everyone that she met. Incredibly kind and generous, she would always put herself last. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother to everyone. Dawn is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, James Walton, her daughters Sheena Shorkey and her husband Darryl and Stacy Kershner and her husband Robert, Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren Skyla Townsley, Hunter Kershner, Haley Kershner, Donald Shorkey, and Caden Shorkey, her siblings; David Zug and his wife Regina and Donna Besch and her husband Rick, nephews; Chad and Brad Claeyssen, and many other grandchildren (you know who you are!). A Celebration of Life Service will take place on at 5:00PM on Thursday July 12, 2018 at Colerain Baptist Church located at 1923 Noble Rd, Kirkwood, PA 17536. Guests will be received by the family prior to the Service starting at 4:00PM. There will be a reception at the church directly following the service.
