Dawn M. Saurbaugh, 77, of Lancaster, passed away at Conestoga View Nursing Home on Friday, August 18, 2017. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late William E. Carr and Caroline (Keppel) Carr.

Dawn devoted most of her life to being a homemaker. Early on, she was the owner and operator of the The Ground Floor Bar in Lancaster. She later worked at Classy Clippe Pet Salon, where she enjoyed greeting the customers and bathing the dogs. She was known for her cooking and baking skills, especially pies. She also excelled at folk art painting.

Dawn is survived by her daughters, Rena Geist, wife of William, Michelle Rineer, wife of Mitch, and Donna Long. Also surviving is her brother, Donald Carr, husband of Patti, and 5 grandchildren, Derek and Devon Putt, Cole and Karli Rineer, and Lindy Long.

A viewing will take place from 10 to 11 AM, followed by funeral services at 11 AM, on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Dawn's family is grateful for the kindness and compassion of the Conestoga View Nursing Home staff during Dawn's brief illness.
