Dawn Marie Boone, 68, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at her residence in Elizabethtown, PA. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Luther S. and Helen L. (Karr) Oatman. She previously bartended at the Dirty Ol' Tavern and the American Legion Post 603 in Quarryville and worked in jewelry sales at Boscov's Park City. She also had two hair salons over the years, one was formerly in her home on Cabbage Hill, and the other in New Providence. She most recently bred and raised exotic birds and operated her beauty salon in her home. She attended J.P. McCaskey High School. Dawn is survived by two daughters; Love Johnson, Holtwood, and Kimberly Rightnour, Mount Joy, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda Kauffman and brothers Dennis and Robert Oatman, both of Lancaster, and ex-husband, Leslie Boone, of New Providence
