David F. Wyrwas, 73, of Mount Joy, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 after a valiant battle against lung disease. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Morgan) Wyrwas, with whom he was ready to celebrate 50 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Edward and Laura (Lubinski) Wyrwas.

David graduated high school in 1970 and went on to attend St. Joseph's University, graduating in 1976. He married Karen that year before attaining his Master's Degree in Finance from American College in 1988.

Mr. Wyrwas was employed with Volunteer Fireman's Insurance Services for 33 years before he retired as President of the company in 2015.

Outside of work, he was an avid fan and season ticket holder of the Philadelphia Eagles. He was also a certified Scuba diver and loved to travel, taking many cruises with his wife and family. He volunteered as a Boy Scout leader since 2015. He was also an avid reader and gardener.

David will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and is greatly missed.

Surviving, in addition to his wife Karen, are their children, Matthew and Andrea; his grandchildren, Max and Nolan; his brother, Edward Wyrwas; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Saturday, April 11 in the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz after 9:30 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately for his family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of David may be made to the American Cancer Society/?campaign=menudefault">American Cancer Society.
