David C. Overly, 73, of Rothsville, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 1, 2023. Born in Lancaster, he was the loving son, of the late Daniel S. and Betty M. (Duke) Overly.

Dave proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he went on to work for the US Postal Service until his retirement.

Dave had accepted the Lord as his Savior and served Him faithfully through the years at Bible Baptist Church of Leola. He loved to read and study the Bible. Dave knew the joy of the Lord and was a wonderful witness of His saving grace.

Dave is survived by two brothers, Douglas L. Overly, husband of Julie, of Quinlan, TX and Daniel J. Overly, husband of Ginnette, of New Holland; 8 nephews and nieces; 5 great-nephews and great-nieces; and his church family who will miss him greatly.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd., Annville, PA 17003. Memorial Services for Dave will be held at 7 PM, Friday, January 13, 2023, at Bible Baptist Church of Leola, 12 W. Main St., Leola, PA 17540. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dave's memory may be made to the church at the address above.
