Obituary

David Matos, 61, of Millersville, died peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2024, at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Lois Laukhuff Matos. For 38 years David owned and operated The Cat's Meow and other restaurant's such as Cafe Chuckles, Cherries Jubilee, and a Catering company. Being a restaurateur meant his life constantly revolved around the restaurant industry to ensure things were always running smoothly. His success could not have been possible without the support of his Cat's Meow family and team members as well as the entire Manheim Community. He had a loving heart, and his generosity always showed through his acts of kindness to others. David's interests included antiquing, fishing, gardening, playing cards and most of all, spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife; Melissa Hagy Matos, of Mount Joy, a son, David Tyler husband of Kelly Ann Matos, of Lititz, and their children Olivia Ann and Owen David Matos, as well as two siblings; Craig husband of Amy Matos and Elaine wife of Glenn Pottberg. Preceding him in death is a brother, Joseph Matos.
