David L. Evans, aged 71, passed away at his home on May 17, 2024. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of William E. Evans, Jr. and Grace (Wagner) Evans.

David was a member of Lancaster Church of the Brethren. He was a longtime member of Post D of the Travelers Protective Association (TPA) and served as past president of the local post and as a former member of the TPA State Board of Directors. He enjoyed traveling, beach time, and fishing. He was also an avid golfer.

In addition to his father, William, of Lititz, David is survived by his sister, Kathleen E. Mercer, wife of James; nephew, Jacob D. Mercer, husband of Courtney, and their two sons; nephew, Isaac J. Mercer, husband of Jessica, and their daughter and son; and his best friend, Trang Carr.

A celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601. Luncheon will follow in the Worship and Event Center. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
