Dante C. Ellis, Sr., aged 51, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. He was born in Lancaster, PA, the son of Yolonda Christian and James L. Ellis, Jr. Dante was a 1990 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and had a successful career working in production at various manufacturing plants, including Johnson and Johnson.

Dante had a deep love for reggae music, finding joy and inspiration in its rhythm and melodies. He had an interest in tracing his family's roots and understanding his genealogy. Dante was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan, cheering for his team with passion and dedication. Dante had a love for cooking and exploring culturally diverse cuisines. He was known for his culinary skills, particularly in preparing lasagna, spaghetti, jerk chicken, and ox tails.

Dante is survived by: His parents, Yolonda Christian and James L. Ellis, Jr.; His fiancé, Eunice Rosario; his children: Juliana J. Ellis of Mountville, Jordan A. Rivera of CA, Dante C. Ellis, Jr. of Lancaster, Nazir D. Ellis of Lancaster; three grandchildren: Sanai, Gianni, and Milano; his sister, Jami L. Ellis of Lititz; his nieces, Mia J. and Kayla M. Godwin

Dante is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Leonard W. and Janet Christian and James and Dorothy Ellis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Myeloma or American Diabetes Association.

Dante C. Ellis, Sr., will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, love for his family, and his talents in the culinary arts. His unexpected passing leaves a void, but his legacy lives on through the memories of those who knew and loved him.
