Daniel E.Rhine, 59, of Lancaster, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 10, 2014. Born in Lebanon, PA, he was the son of the late Earl and Patricia (Culhane) Rhine.

Daniel was a professional counselor with Catholic Health Services. He enjoyed painting, literature, music, cinema and playing chess.

Daniel is survived by a brother, Thomas Rhine; three nieces, Jessica Kautz, wife of Robert, Melody and Melissa Rhine; a nephew, Craig Hulse, Jr., husband of Erin; many grandnieces and grandnephews; a friend, Beth Tafel Shuster; and a God-Son, James Tafel Shuster.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Beth E. Rhine Hulse; and two brothers, Timothy and David Rhine.

A viewing will be from 5:30-6:30 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2014 with a Funeral Service to follow at 6:30 PM at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Daniel's memory to the Catholic Charities, 925 N. Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.
