Corris "Cork" L. Teachworth, 96, formerly of Virginia and Michigan, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Willow Valley Communities in Willow Street, PA.

Born in his mother's bedroom in Carson City, MI, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Mary Elizabeth (Bryde) Teachworth. He graduated from Carson City High School. Cork was the last of his siblings.

Cork shared 60 years of marriage with his wife Margueritte (Fernette) Teachworth before her death in 2013.

He served stateside in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was part of the transition to the US Air Force. In civilian life, Cork was a committed manager of the Ionia Free Fair in Ionia, MI, and the Virginia State Fair.

Cork is survived his son, Robert M. Teachworth, husband of Sherrie Greenshields of Anchorage, Ak; three grandchildren, Chris Teachworth, husband of Chelsea and their son Charlie of Lancaster, PA, Brian Teachworth, husband of Nicole Yount of Palmer, AK, and Anna Teachworth of Spokane, WA; and Connie Teachworth of Willow Street, PA.

In addition to his parents, wife, and siblings, Cork was preceded in death by his sons, Alan L. Teachworth in 2018, and Lawrence K. Teachworth in 2021.
