Obituary

Constance E. Butto, 79, of Lititz, PA, passed away on December 23, 2014 at Maple Farms Nursing Center. Born in Bethlehem, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Rabel) Grund. Connie, as she was known to her family and friends, was the wife of the late Anthony M. Butto, PhD, for 38 loving years. Connie retired from The Herb Shop in Lititz, where she enjoyed helping customers and designing seasonal window displays. She also was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church, serving as a former member of the Parish Council and working for years on the annual Bazaar, making countless wreaths and arrangements with her friends. Connie enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, Christina Midcap, wife of Dr. Matthew Midcap, and Antonia Allsman, wife of James Allsman; two grandchildren, Isabel Midcap and Luke Allsman; and a brother, Joseph Grund. Friends will be received from 10-11 AM on Monday, January 5, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave., Lititz, PA 17543, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM with Rev. James O'Blaney C.S.s.R. as Celebrant. The Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Maple Farms Nursing Center, 604 Oak St., Akron, PA 17501, in gratitude for the compassionate, dedicated care provided by the staff.
