Clayton H. Elser, 95, of Safe Harbor, PA, formerly of Hopeland, PA passed away August 20, 2015 of natural causes. He was the husband of Verna I. (Reese) Elser with whom he celebrated 71 years of marriage. Clayton worked for Safe Harbor Water Power Corp. for twenty five years retiring in 1984. Prior to that he worked for Erb's Nursery and was a WWII Army Veteran. Along with his wife, Clayton was a member of Green Hill UMC for over 64 years. Surviving are two sons, Timothy, married to Julia of Lancaster and Theodore, married to Sheila of Marietta; Eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother George of Lititz. Preceding him in death were 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11AM at Green Hill UMC, 5801 River Rd, Conestoga PA. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Rd, Lancaster PA at 2PM. There will be no public viewing; however friends will be received from 10:30-11AM at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church at the above address.
