Obituary

Clayton H. Breneman, 92, of Longwood Manor in Maytown, and formerly of 139 Kready Ave. in Millersville, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was the husband of Rosemary L. Breneman, with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage this past June 26 th . Born in Millersville, he was the son of the late John F. and Martha A. Heiney Breneman.

Clayton had worked as a security guard at the RCA Corp. for 29 years, until his retirement in 1983. Clayton was the sole proprietor of Manor Pest  Control from 1965 to 1983. He had also worked for 15 years at Watt & Shand and the Bon Ton, and served as a substitute mail carrier in Millersville for 6 years.

A US Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theater as a TEC-5 in the Southern Philippines, Luzon, and New Guinea campaigns. Clayton was a member of the American Legions Post 664 and the Mountville VFW Post 8757.

Clayton was a member of First United Methodist Church in Millersville.

In addition to his wife, Rosemary, he is survived by his children: Stephen D. married to Sandra Breneman of Lancaster, Cynthia, wife of Donald Findlay, of Lancaster, and Timothy L. Breneman of Millersville; his grandson Ryan L. Flosser, and his sisters, Anna Mae Wood of Lititz and Martha Long of Florida.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
