Clarence L. Hart, 85, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was the husband of Emma M. Harnish Hart, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage this past May 4th. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clarence Hart and Violet Collins Hart.

Clarence had worked as a machinist for Vallorb Jewel Company. Prior to this, he had been an industrial xray technician for the Burnham Boiler Company.

He had a strong faith in God, and had been a 32 year member of Faith Outreach Center in Marietta.

He enjoyed gardening, listening to jazz music and reading, especially the Bible. He was a people person, was known for his sense of humor and always loved a good joke. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Emma, he is survived by his children: Linda married to Kevin McCandless of Lancaster, Pamela married to Steven Mellinger of Mt. Joy, Marlon married to Stacy Hart of Lancaster, and Darlene married to Phillip Abel III of Conestoga; his 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was also survived by his brothers: Ronald Hart of New Providence, and Albert Herr of Strasburg, and by his sisters: Nancy Clinton of Lancaster, Alice Thyer of Cummings, GA, Audrey Perkins of Oxford, and Faye Foltz of Lancaster.

Relatives and friends are invited to Clarence's Memorial Service at Lancaster Assembly of God Church, 1025 Columbia Ave., Lancaster, PA on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 6PM,with Pastor Aaron McNatt officiating. Friends will be received by the family and refreshments will be served following the service.
