Clair V. Myers, 95, ascended to his Heavenly Home on June 12, 2015. He lived as a widower after his wife of 62 years, Eleanor, went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2004. He lived at Calvary Fellowship Homes from November 1990 until January 2013. Then, he moved to spend his final years with his only daughter, Marcia who is married to Jorge Mendez, and living in Lancaster. Clair has two grandsons, David and Douglas Robertson. David lives in Virginia with his wife, Lisa, and five children – Annalee, Rachel, Davis, Wils and Tek. Douglas lives in New Jersey with his wife, Jackie, and one child, Connor. He is survived by his sister, Kathleen Winters, of Lock Haven, PA. He is predeceased by his sister, Gladys Selden, and his brother, LaRue Myers. Clair was born in Lock Haven, PA, and went to Penn State University where he graduated in 1941 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He spent two years in the Navy, mostly on the battleship USS Washington in the South Pacific. He worked for Philadelphia Electric Company, 44 years, progressing from Junior Engineer to Vice President of Purchasing and General Services. Clair will be laid to rest next to his wife at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. A Celebration Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Fellowship Hall of Calvary Fellowship Homes, 502 Elizabeth Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601. Memorial gifts may be made to Calvary Fellowship Homes Benevolent Fund, 502 Elizabeth Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601.
