Cheryl (Goselin) Taylor 77, of Lancaster, PA peacefully passed away on January 25, 2026, at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Hospital. Born in the Albany, NY area in 1948, she was the daughter of the late Roger Goselin and Eleanor H. Hendrickson.
Cheryl spent her younger years in Fitzwilliam, NH, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1971. After college she worked in various retail and marketing jobs on the east coast, eventually settling in Pennsylvania where she remained until her death.
Cheryl was a woman who followed her own path, expressed her opinion, loved children, animals, reading and flowers.
As a pre-teen she and a friend had an ongoing competition regarding who could read the most books in a week. They would read a book a day. When she was living in the Harrisburg area, she held a reading group for neighborhood children whom she felt needed to enhance their reading skills.
Her animals were like her children. Her favorites were Persian cats, terriers, and King Charles Spaniels. At one point she had four (maybe five) dogs and three cats.
When she moved to Lancaster, PA her faith in God became very important and the church and its members became her family. She served in the Children's ministry and faithfully attended the ladies Bible studies.
Cheryl is survived by two younger sisters, Charlene Webber and Pamela Gilbert; two nieces, Clarisse and Alexis Gilbert; one nephew Ezra Goselin. She was predeceased by her parents and a nephew.
A service in Cheryl's memory will be held on Thursday February 26, 2026 at 3 PM at the Community Fellowship Church, 344 West Chestnut St, Lancaster, PA 17603. Burial will be in Fitzwilliam, NH in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her memory to a no-kill animal shelter, a library, the Community Fellowship Church, or the charity of your choice.
