Cheryl Ann Burkey, 60, of Lititz, passed away at home on Monday, March 14, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Gerald J. and Sylvia (Benedick) Sutter. Cheryl was a hard-working single mother who worked two jobs to provide for her family. She was a Kitchen Aid for Manheim School District and loved her coworkers. She enjoyed NASCAR, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, and loved animals; especially lions, tigers, and bears. She affectionately earned the nickname "Joe Dirt." Most importantly, she was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be very much missed. Chery is survived by her children, Jennifer L. Burkey (girlfriend of Bobby Shaver), Kevin L. Burkey (husband of Michelle), Shawn M. Burkey (husband of Meagen); her grandchildren, Natallie Boozer, Halie Burkey, Brittany Burkey, Aubrey Shaver, and Kelsey Shaver; a great-grandchild that will soon enter the world; her sisters, Kathy Sheppard, Neva Lane, and Karen Brazil; and her step-mother, Carol Sutter; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Sutter; and her partner, Bruce Miskar. A service will be held at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home one hour prior at 1:00.
