Charlie H. Lentz, 76, of Mapleton Depot, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Hospice and Community Care of Mt. Joy. Born in Lancaster, PA., he was the son of late George A. Lentz and Mildred (Axe) Lentz. He is survived by his two daughters, Natalie L., wife of Sam Scicchitano Jr. And Sophia P. wife of George Hinkle Jr.; Five grandchildren, George Cattell, Jr., Laura Stumpf, Sam Scicchitano III, Austin and Brandon Hinkle; Three Great granddaughters, Melody Stumpf, Raegan and Avery Hinkle; loving, longtime companion Nancy Papac (Meshey); Two brothers, John and George Lentz and preceded in death by his brother William Lentz.

He proudly served in the US Army. He was one of the original members of the Vagabonds car club in Lancaster in 1962 and proud owner of Lil Pineapple- '32 Plymouth three window. Charlie was an active member of Unified Sportsmen in PA. In 1971, he built & opened a successful restaurant called Wagon Stop Inn located in Leola, PA. After 17 years, his compassion drove him back to construction. He retired from Wagman Construction of York, PA as a Master Craftsman.

A devoted father to his daughters, he enjoyed sharing his stories with family & friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, walks in the woods and spending time with his family. He enjoyed his travels to Alaska, Montana, Canada and Wyoming for big game hunts. He took pride in his home. Dedicated 19 years of building his dream home in the mountains among the wildlife.
