Charles Z. Ward, 64, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on September 19, 2014. Born in Ninepoints, PA, he was the son of the late James H. and Mary (Cook) Ward. Charles was the husband of the late Bonnie Lee (Patrick) Ward who died September 2014. Charles received inspection licenses at Willow Street Technical School for Auto Mechanic. He was a "jack of all trades", which included painting, drywall, mechanic and auto body repair. Surviving is a daughter, Ella M. Ward of Rising Sun, MD; a step-daughter, Carol A. Gearheart of Smyrna, DE; a step-son, James E. Sheets, III; grandson, Devin A. Ward; step-grandsons, William S. Miller and Dillon J. Sheets; 3 brothers: Jerry Ward, John "Bud" Greer and Jess Ward; and 3 sisters: Phyllis Burnette, Marvella Perkins and Jean Cline. Charles is preceded in death by a sister, Janice Gillespie.
