Charles I. Pratt, Jr. DDS, 90, of Lancaster, died Saturday, September 14, 2014 at Brethren Village.

Born in Coatesville, he was the husband of Marie (Russell) Pratt of Brethren Village, and the son of the late Charles Ira Pratt, Sr. and Ellen (Swartz) Pratt.

Charlie was a graduate of Dickinson College and the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. Upon graduation, he opened his own dental office in Coatesville where he practiced for 35 years until his retirement.

Charles served as a Sergeant in WWII for the US Army Medical Corps. He was an avid woodworker and a member of the Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Dana M. Zetterberg and her husband Eric of Montgomery Village, MD; Holly P. Helm and her husband William of Elizabethtown; and Wade C. Pratt and his wife Cheryl of Lancaster; 5 grandchildren: Kristin E. Helm, Brian C. Helm and his wife Christie, Nikolay Zetterberg, Dylan Pratt, and Whitney Venus and her husband Brian; and 2 great-grandchildren, Trevor J. Helm and Evelyn Venus.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
