Charles E. Gallagher, 84 of Willow Street, formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of the late Philip Patrick and Jessie Elizabeth (Watson) Gallagher. He was the husband of the late Marie A. Gallagher who passed away in 2001.

A veteran, he proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the US Postal Service and the Philadelphia Electric Co. Charles resided at Willow Valley for over 17 years. He was a member of the Red Rose Coin Club and was an avid bridge and card player. Charles was a devoted family man. He was a longtime member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church.

He is survived by his devoted daughters, Marianne (John) Caporale, Judith (Bill) Fenton, and his adoring grandchildren: Christopher, Maggie, Jessie, Wil and Paul. Also surviving are brothers, John and Walter Gallagher, additionally, Mary Coloracci. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Philip Patrick Gallagher and Josephine McCoy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603. A viewing will be held from 10-11AM at the church on Wednesday. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
