Charles E. Frey, 87, of Lititz, formerly of Columbia, PA, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at United Zion Retirement Community in Lititz. Born in Mount Joy, PA he was the son of the late Oscar and Dorothy (Boyce) Frey. He was the loving husband of D. Lorraine (Houck) Frey with whom he celebrated over 66 years of marriage.

He worked as a welder for the former Alumax Co. for over 30 years. Charles enjoyed gardening, yardwork but his greatest joy in life was being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. "Patti" wife of John Hartman of Lancaster, five grandchildren, Jeremy Cadorette (Souad), Nikki Weaver (David), Ryan Frey, Jennifer Hartnett (Shane), Kyle Hartman, six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four siblings, Eugene Frey of Lititz, Ruth Frey of Mt. Joy, Harry Frey husband of Carolyn of Manheim, Judy Wagner wife of Larry of Lititz and a daughter-in-law, Dorothy "Dottie" Frey of Wrightsville. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles E. Frey, Jr. and a brother, Marlin Frey.

Funeral Services for Charles will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the United Zion Retirement Community, 722 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
