Charles W. Boyer Sr., 87, of Lancaster, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 22, 2018. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Harry H. Boyer and Mary A. (Coleman) Boyer. Charles was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an active member of Son Light Bible Church and had a beautiful voice that he showcased as a soloist in the church choir. Charles was dedicated to service and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, Doris M. (Edwards) Boyer, his son Rodney Boyer, his daughters-in-laws, Karen Boyer and Jean Boyer, and grandchildren Adam Boyer and Amanda (Boyer) Nicoladse. He is preceded in death by his son Charles W. Boyer Jr. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11:00AM at Son Light Bible Church located at 2503 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Charles' name can be made to Son Light Bible Church.
