Obituary

It is with great sadness we share that our beloved son, Chance Allen Canfield, passed away on February 20, 2024, in Sealy, TX. Born on May 12, 1997, in Lebanon, PA, Chance filled our lives with joy and love since the moment he came into the world.

Chance will be deeply missed by his family, including his father Michael Canfield, husband of Melanie of Millersville, mother Cynthia DonBullian wife of Frank of Chesapeake Beach, MD, his sisters Caylee Canfield and Summer DonBullian, nieces and nephews Hayden, Natalie, and Victoria, stepsiblings Matthew DonBullian, Aiden DonBullian, Sarah DonBullian, and her son Ethan, as well as his beloved dogs Max and Azula.

In his short 26 years, Chance experienced so many proud moments. At a very young age, it was quickly apparent that Chance excelled in just about anything he put his mind to. He was an honor roll student, and he earned his high red belt in Taekwondo. He enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding and spending time with his family and friends. Above all, Chance always had a passion for working on cars, and that was deeply rooted in the time he spent with his father. The two would often be found in the family garage, at all hours of the night, working on their latest project. This bond they shared was like no other. Chance's interest in mechanics continued in his career in the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and served as a Crew Chief, working on the C-130 Hercules transport aircrafts. During his time in the military, Chance earned his Associates Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. Most recently, Chance was still pursuing his passion for performance cars by attending Tuner School in Sealy, TX. His adventures took him all over the country, touching the hearts of new people along the way, while forging a path for a future of endless possibilities.

Chance will always be remembered for his sense of humor, love for playing pranks, and his infectious smile. He had the ability to make anyone laugh, as if it was his personal mission to get a smile out of every person he met.

One of Chance's mantras was "Veni, Vidi, Vici" by Julius Caesar or "I came, I saw, I conquered." In so many ways, this was our beloved Chance.

A Celebration of Chance's life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584.
