Chad M. "C.J." Lownsbery, Jr., 13, Lititz, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Chad M. Lownsbery, Sr., of Lititz, and Darby (Mattern) Lownsbery fiancé of Michael Grant, of Columbia. C.J. was in 8th Grade at Manheim Township Middle School. He enjoyed Taekwondo at the YMCA, playing baseball with Lancaster Rec, and going to the movies. A lover of the outdoors, C.J. enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid reader and was interested in mythology. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Jade Mattern, Tia Grant, Michaela Grant, and a step-brother, Tyson Grant, maternal grandparents, Herbert and Anne Mattern, Jr., of Elm, Kim and Randy Miller, of St. Petersburg, FL, and paternal grandparents, Pamela Donovan, of Lititz, and Darryl and Sally Lownsbery, great-grandmother Glenna Mattern, of East Petersburg, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends will be received on Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 5-7PM at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.
