Cecily S. Gutter, 90, of the Willow Valley Communities, died on April 30, 2017. Cecily was born in Middle Village, Queens, New York. She graduated from Cornell University School of Nursing and was a registered nurse. Cecily married Richard M. Gutter in 1949. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and mother and enjoyed classical music, birdwatching, the outdoors, and lifelong learning. In addition to Dick, her loving husband of 67 years, she is survived by her brother, Dr. Lawrence Silver, son, David, daughter, Irene Berry, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Cecily's name to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, Kempton, PA at hawkmountain.org. Services for Cecily will be private.
