Cathy L. (Burchett) Thompson, 65, of Millersville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2017 at her home. Born September 20, 1951 in Worth, WV, she was the daughter of the late Sidney A. and Ethel M. (Lucas) Burchett.

Cathy graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University of PA. She also received a Master's in Pediatric Nursing from Medical College of Virginia. Cathy retired from the U.S. Air Force as a nurse practitioner. After retirement from the military, she was a library assistant at Strasburg-Heisler Library. She was also a pediatric nurse for Manheim Township School District. Reading and doing crossword puzzles were two of Cathy's favorite past times.

Surviving are: sister, Karen A. Young & husband Rodney of Spring Grove, PA and sister, Barbara K. Keeny and husband William of Berwick, PA; several nieces & nephews and grandnieces & grandnephews. Cathy was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Burchett.

A Celebration of Cathy's Life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6 York St, Codorus (York County), PA 17362 on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Strasburg-Heisler Library, 143 Precision Ave, Strasburg, PA 17579.
