Catherine A. Walker, 89, died peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2006 at Brethren Village.

She was born in Queens, New York to the late George and Elizabeth Hempfling.  She was married to the late Joseph W. Walker in 1949.  They were married for 43 years.

She is survived by her two children, Robert J. Walker of Northampton, and Susan D. Capp, wife of Michael E. Capp of  Lititz, PA; four grandchildren: Katie J., wife of Ryan E. Martin, Tessa J. Capp, Noah M. Capp and Samuel E. Walker.

A viewing will be held at Barnes-Sorrentino Funeral Home, West Hempstead, New York on Sunday.   A burial will be held on Monday at Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery, New York.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
