Catherine G. Reinsel, 98, of Lancaster, PA, formerly from Clarion, PA, died peacefully at Lancaster General Hospital on Saturday, December 12, 2015.

Born in Parkers Landing, PA, she was the widow of Donald J. Reinsel who passed away in 1973. She was the daughter of the late Frederick A. and Anna Mae Crate Markley.

Catherine was a faithful member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church and was a former member of St. Philip's and St. Leo The Great Catholic Church. She was a member of the Millersville Senior Citizen's Club. Her greatest love was her family and she loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a caring and simple woman, and enjoyed taking in relatives when in need, as well as being the family babysitter.

She is survived by her two daughters, Rita M., wife of William J. Jordan and Maryann K., wife of Robert C. Palmer, all of Lancaster; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Theresa Fritz, St. Mary's PA and Beatrice "Bea" Waite, Bear Rocks, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 3028 Shannondale Road, Mayport, PA 16240 on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 12:00 Noon with The Rev. Samuel Bungo Celebrant. Interment at St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be sent to the church.
