Catherine Vandenburg "Kitty" Cubbison, 89, of Quarryville, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. Born in Seaford, DE, she was the daughter of the late John and Mae (Collison) Vandenburg. She was married 63 years to her beloved husband Robert John "Cubby" Cubbison prior to his passing in 2021.

Kitty was a graduate of Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, MD, and received a bachelor's from The Pennsylvania State University. She was a talented and gifted artist and enjoyed painting, repurposing, and anything artistic. Kitty also spent ample time cooking for her family, being in the outdoors and gardening, and she loved visiting thrift and antique stores. Kitty was a former member of Swarthmore Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Her family will affectionately remember her for her strong will and creativity.

Kitty is survived by 2 children: Karen Cubbison Socie (Craig) and Miles Cubbison; 3 grandchildren: Stuart Cubbison (Cailen), Elyse Cubbison Veronis (Alex), and Ethan Cubbison; and 2 great-grandchildren: Covey and Calder Cubbison. She was predeceased by her daughter Jennifer Cubbison, daughter-in-law Andrea Moranz-Cubbison, and sisters Joan Peacock and Sue Addis. S ervices will be held at the convenience of the family.
