Catherine Marie (Best) Gleason, 97, of Lititz, died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Moravian Manor. Born in Scranton, she was the wife of the late Robert Emmet Gleason, who died in 1984. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Loftus) Best. Catherine spent most of her life in Dover, NJ, where she was an active member of the Sacred Heart Parish. Her faith was an important part of her life, and her life revolved around her church. In Lititz, she was a former member of St. James Catholic Church. Catherine is survived by 3 sons and their spouses: Robert and Emily Gleason of Palm Harbor, FL; William and Lisa Gleason of Lititz; and Patrick and Irini Gleason of Brooklyn, NY; 7 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Padden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Monday, August 22, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave, Lititz with the Rev. James O'Blaney, C.Ss.R. as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Spacht-Snyder Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad St., Lititz. The rosary will be recited at 2 PM. Burial will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow, PA.
