Catherine "Kitty" (Flick) O'Neill, 92, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Brethren Village. Born in Columbia, she was the wife of the late Robert T. O'Neill, who died June 15, 2009, and the daughter of the late Anthony and Minnie (Lockard) Flick. Kitty was a member of the St. Anne-Neumann Seniors and Travel Club, and the Swing Thru Square Dancers. She enjoyed making crafts for the St. John Neumann annual Christmas Bazaar, and was a volunteer for the Lancaster County Meals on Wheels, of which she was a founding member. An avid bowler, she was a member of a bowling league well into her 70's, and had also bowled at least one perfect game. Before she married, she was employed by RCA and after her marriage, she volunteered for a number of different organizations, for which she was recognized by Lancaster Newspapers as "Volunteer of the Week". She particularly enjoyed teaching GED prep classes for IU13. Kitty is survived by her daughter, Margaret "Peg" O'Neill of Lancaster; a brother, Robert Flick Sr. of Lancaster, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Gerard O'Neill; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Gerlach, and a brother, Anthony Flick, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd., Lancaster with the Rev. David Danneker as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, and again at the church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial contributions in Kitty's memory may be made to Off the Streets, (a ministry to help the homeless find permanent housing) c/o St. John Neumann Catholic Church at the address above, or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital online at https://www.stjude.org/donatenow.
