Catherine L. Evans, 58, of 13 Juniata Ave., Lancaster, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Blayne M. and Elizabeth (Sterling) Evans. She was the stepdaughter of the late Gloria N. (May) Evans.

Catherine had been employed for the past 8 years at the Willow Valley Retirement Community as a security officer.

She loved to go camping, going to the shore at Atlantic City and spending time with her family.

Catherine will be sorely missed and will always be loved by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children: Robbin  married to Jeff Hessinger of Mountville, Yvonne  married Troy Kahler of York, Robert E. married to Stacey Sheaffer of Lancaster, and Gloria J. Sheaffer of Lancaster; 8 grandchildren: Erich, Blayne, Ryan, Evan, Angelyssa, Angelo Jr., Justin and Kerstin. She is also survived by her stepsister Bonnie married to David Work of Ronks, her best friend of 27 years, Kimberly Mastriania of Lancaster, and by a niece and nephew.

Friends will be received by Catherine's family on Saturday from 1-2PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in her memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Dr., Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
