“Cathy” Saylor
April 30, 2018
Catherine L. "Cathy" Saylor, 56, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 30, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 10, 1961 in Lancaster, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Petronilla (Mayer) Hearn. She was a 1979 graduate of Manheim Township High School, and had worked as a Pharmacy Technician with Save Mart, File Clerk for Dermatology Physicians, and had formerly been the Cafeteria Manager for both Lancaster County Career and Technology Center and Conestoga Valley Middle School. Cathy will be remembered for her infectious laugh, that she always went out of her way to help people, and that she made sure to never miss anyone's birthday. An excellent cook, she loved cooking big family meals and being surrounded by those she loved. She enjoyed the outdoors, such as gardening and walking in the woods. She also loved her beagles, Raymond Tucker and Lilli Kate. Cathy is survived by her loving family, husband, Sam Saylor, Lancaster, son, Patrick Cronin, Lancaster, daughter, Amber Heinly, Willow Street, three sisters; Renee Kotler, Holly Hearn, Annie Huber, her brother, Charles Hearn, five grandchildren; Auburn and Scarlett Heinly, Eleanor, Breana, and Madison Cronin. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Hearn. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 7:00 PM, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA 17601, with family visitation time from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
