Catharine S. Buckwalter, 98, of Lancaster, passed away June 26, 2024, at Lancaster General Hospital. Catharine was born in Lancaster on July 2, 1925, to John D. and Elizabeth R. (Shenk) Martin. She was the loving wife of J. Morris Buckwalter until his passing in 1993.

She will be remembered for 60 + years as a dedicated home health care CNA, where she worked hand in hand with her patients until she was 90. She was also dedicated to her faith as a long-time member of God's Missionary Church in Lancaster for the past 20 years.

Catharine is survived by her stepchildren, Laverne Buckwalter, Eunice Bassett and Mark Buckwalter, as well as numerous extended family. She was preceded in passing by her parents, husband, and stepchildren, Caroline Stoltzfus, Lee Buckwalter, Donald Buckwalter, Evangeline Myers, and Louise Dean.

Guests are invited to a viewing on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. George St. Millersville, PA 17551, from 6:30 PM – 8 PM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Greencastle, PA. Memorial contributions in Catharine's name may be made to God's Missionary Church, 2323 Marietta Ave. Lancaster, PA 17603.
