Carolyn C. (Hill) Oatman, 81, of Lititz, formerly of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Carolyn was born in Monroe, NC to the late Lawson Powell Hill and Jean L. (Hildreth) Hill. Carolyn started her family in San Diego, California where some of her fondest memories took place. She enjoyed vacationing at the shore and spending time with her family, especially on the holidays. Carolyn was known for being the neighborhood mom and will be remembered for her open door and loving nature. Carolyn is survived by her 3 children: Rory Oatman (Tammy Snavely) of Lititz, Nicole Oatman (Richard Sanchez) of Lancaster and son Ryan Oatman of New Castle; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and many other children she treated as her own. She was preceded in death by her children: Roland Oatman and René Oatman. A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will be held at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Family and friends will be received from 6:30 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster, 116 S.
