Obituary

Carolyn E. Fuhrer, 82, of Penn Twp., died at Lancaster General Hospital on Friday, November 13, 2015. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Eckman) McComsey.

A graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School, Carolyn worked as an inspector for RCA for 43 years. She volunteered for Manheim Meals on Wheels and participated in the Manheim Bowling League and Lancaster Senior Games. Carolyn enjoyed World travel and taking each of her grandchildren to Disney World. She knitted mittens for several organizations, was an avid quilter, card player and was part of the Pinochle Club.

Surviving are her 4 children, Timothy Lehman of Radford, VA, Colleen Aument of Millville, Cathleen Wenger, wife of Greg of Reinholds and Christine Milliron, wife of John of Gap; 5 grandchildren, Brian Hornberger, Lisa Ludwig, Jaime Reid, Julie Wenger and Jacqueline Milliron; 2 great-grandchildren, Laszlo Ludwig and Anthony Reid; and her siblings Gene McComsey, husband of Sheila of Lancaster County and Imogene Evaston of Manheim. Carolyn was preceded in death by her grandson Jonathan Milliron in 2011, and her siblings Jan and Bill McComsey.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, from 2 to 3 pm, followed by a memorial service at 3 pm, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Please omit flowers.
