Obituary

Caroline E. Radesky, 38, of Lititz, PA, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on October 25, 2024.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Joseph A. Radesky of Lititz and Debra Bertzfield Desormeaux of Louisiana. A graduate of Warwick High School, she earned a BA in history and womens studies from Dickinson College, and both her Masters and Doctorate in history from the University of Iowa.

Caroline had a deep love for history since she was a teenager, working at Landis Valley Museum as a guide and presenter at the age of 14. She took that calling and became a professor, teaching history and womens studies for four years at the University of Iowa, followed by Harvard University and most recently at Simmons University in Boston.

She loved antiquing, and spending time with her friends, cooking for them and entertaining, and she enjoyed nature, going on walks and drives to enjoy the outdoors.

In addition to her parents, Caroline is survived by her brother, Jonathon Radesky of New Orleans, her aunts: Mary Fisher and Fran Baxter; her uncles: Ray, Ed, Tony, and Andy Radesky and by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A private gathering to celebrate Carolines life will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family.
