Carole L. Brubaker, 73, of 82 Valleybrook  Dr., Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mount Joy.

She was the wife of Robert E. Brubaker, with whom she celebrated 44 years of marriage this past July. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Irvin R. and Mildred E. Bowers Hackman.

Carole had worked  as a sales clerk at the Next To New Clothing Shop in Lancaster, and also at the former Kerek Air Freight. In years past, she had also worked at the RCA Corp.

Carole was a graduate of Lititz High School, and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lancaster.

She enjoyed cross stitching, traveling, especially to the beach, and Broadway musicals.

In addition to her husband, Bob, she will be lovingly missed by her  4 nieces: Denise Hill of Trinity, TX, Michelle Ramus of Tampa, FL, Elizabeth Kontrye of Pearland, TX, and Deanna Smith of Bellair Bluffs, FL. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Phyllis L. Hackman and Delores J. Woodley.

Friends will be received on Friday, April 9, 2010 from 10-11AM at Christ United Methodist Church, 935 E. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA 17602, with the Memorial Service to follow at 11AM, the Revs. Robert Young White and Randy Brubaker officiating. Interment in Riverview Burial Park.
