Carol A. Stump, 81, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude (Leibley) Eichmann. She was the wife of the late Howard J. Stump who passed away in 2004. She was a graduate of JP McCaskey High School where she excelled as an athlete in softball and field hockey. Carol was always seen with a smile on her face and enjoyed watching sports, shopping, going out to lunch and breakfast with her granddaughter, Amanda and most of all enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She is survived by a son, Timothy husband of Kelly Stump, granddaughter, Amanda Sheppard wife of Andrew and her great-granddaughter, Lilyana all of Lancaster. Also surviving is a brother, Frank Eichmann, sister in law, Edna Eichmann and a host of loving nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Eichmann and her sister, Elizabeth Webb. A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St, Lancaster, PA. Interment will be private. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Dr, Lancaster, PA 17603.
