Carol M. Hughes, 85, who resided in Florida and Lancaster Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and with a career spanning over 40 years, Carol was a committed dental hygienist who served her community diligently. She worked alongside Dr. Robert Humphreville in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, leaving a lasting impact on those she cared for.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Carol was an avid reader; she also loved her plants and flowers along with socializing with her friends. Another joy of Carol's was spending time at the family's house in Cape May, NJ, and particularly spending hours on Congress Beach with friends and family. One of Carol's greatest joys was traveling the world with her beloved late husband, Bill. Together, they traveled to two dozen countries and were quite fond of France and England, creating cherished memories with each journey they undertook.

Carol will be deeply missed by her children: Meg Albright Leibold (wife of Rick) and Elizabeth Albright De La Hoz (wife of Angel); stepchildren: Bill Hughes III, Lori van der Linde (wife of Erik), and Jeffery S. Hughes (husband of Kelly); along with her 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary March, her sister Joan, her first husband, Frederick Albright, and her husband, William "Bill" Hughes Jr., who passed away in August of 2023.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 411 N. George Street, Millersville, PA, on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m. Carol will be laid to rest at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery following the conclusion of the service.
