Carol Mumma Herr, 78, of Leola, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Pleasant View Retirement Community.

She was the wife of L. Ronald Herr with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Harold S. and Jane (Tschudy) Mumma. She was a proud graduate of Columbia High School.

Carol had been a homemaker, and in years past, had worked as an administrative assistant at Armstrong World Industries. She enjoyed reading, solving Sudoku puzzles, playing dominoes or cards with family and friends, and watching sports (especially the Phillies). She also loved attending her children's sporting events and other activities when they were younger and spoiling her grandchildren with treats, especially Oreos. Although she didn't care for technology, Carol proudly watched her grandchildren's sports and activities via streaming.

In addition to her husband Ron, she is survived by her son, Ronald M. married to Marisa (Stoner) Herr of East Petersburg; her daughter, Deborah married to James Moore of Davie, FL; her three grandchildren, Sam, Alexa, and Julia Moore; and her sister, Kay married to Gregory Kane of Washington Boro. Carol was preceded in death by her brother, H. James married to Annie Mumma of Fayetteville.
