Carol M. Eckert, 69, of Ronks, PA, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Harrison Senior Living Center.  Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Harry Porter and Emma Lowry.

Carol attended Old St. Mary's Catholic Church, York, PA.  She loved animals and enjoyed dancing.  She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.  Her family was everything to her.  She was God's gift put on this Earth to everyone that knew her.

Surviving is a daughter: Stacy Eckert, companion of Jimmy Hertz of Ronks, PA; a son: Gary Smith, husband of Wanda of Quarryville, PA and 3 other sons; 4 granddaughters: Tanya Eckert, companion of Luis Wharton of Lancaster, Trista Eckert, Becky and Mikala Smith; a great-granddaughter: Elizabeth Wharton; and a great-grandson: Evan Thomas.  She was preceded in death by a son: Robert Eckert.
