Carol M. (Shelton) Broadie, 69, of Lancaster, PA, formerly of Colorado Springs, left her broken body and was made whole by her Lord Jesus on Monday, November 29, 2021. Born in Portsmouth, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Mary C. (Milner) Shelton, Jr. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael R. Broadie.

In her early years, Carol had the unique opportunity of growing up on six different continents. Later, she found great comfort in reading and memorizing the Psalms to navigate mental illness that took hold as an adult.

Surviving are her two sons: Michael D. Broadie, husband of Kristy, and Matthew C. Broadie; two grandchildren: Ellie and Luke; a sister: Janet Nelson, wife of Eric; her stepmother, Evelyn Shelton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A late spring 2022 memorial service is being planned in Denver, CO. Carol will be laid to rest next to her husband at Lincoln Township Cemetery, Granger, IA.
